We’re super excited to be launching our first-ever Twitter event where non-fiction writers can pitch their ideas directly to the Thread editorial team.
We’re super excited to be launching our first-ever Twitter event where non-fiction writers can pitch their ideas directly to the Thread editorial team. If we love the sound of your pitch and want to find out more, we will get in touch with you via Twitter DM to discuss further.
So how does it work?
We will be hosting two #PitchThread days focused around specific genres. Please find below.
16th June: Memoir/ True Stories Day:
Do you have an extraordinary and unique story to tell? One that might inspire or shock people?
30th June: Self-Development:
Are you an expert in your field? Do you have a transformative idea that offers a clear solution to a universal problem?
From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. BST on Thursday 16 June 2022 and Thursday 30 June 2022, pitch your book idea to us on Twitter within 280 characters using the #PitchThread hashtag.
If we like what we see, one of our team will DM you to discuss the status of your work, so make sure your DMs are open. At this point, you may be asked to submit a detailed outline and the first three chapters or the full manuscript.
After reading your work, if we do not wish to progress further, we will offer short editorial feedback. We accept both un-agented and agented submissions and we particularly love to see submissions from underrepresented voices.
Our favourite pitch of the day will win a 30 minute consultation with one of our editors.
Do I have to have completed my full manuscript to enter?
If we contact you, please make sure you have at least a detailed outline and the first three chapters ready to share with us. Full manuscripts are always welcome!
Can I pitch more than once?
If I don’t live in the UK, can I still take part?
We accept submissions from around the world.
If my book was previously self-published, can I pitch it?
What if I can’t be on Twitter on 16 June or 30 June?
We suggest that you schedule your tweet in advance. And remember, we are always open to submissions via our website: https://thread-books.com/submit-your-manuscript/
We’re SO looking forward to your pitches.
